2016 is up and running

The first level 3 event of the Sussex School Games 2016 calendar gets underway this weekend.

270 runners will travel to Hickstead Showground on Saturday 13th February for the Cross Country finals, for which they have qualified from locally run level 2 events. The races are part of the Sussex Cross Country League run by Sussex Athletics. More information is available on their website. (If neccessary, last minute weather updates will appear on their site)

Just 9 days later, another 550 children will compete in the Sportshall Athletics finals, held at Tanbridge House School in Horsham. As well as a primary competition in the morning, four secondary competitions will run in the afternoon for both boys and girls in years 8 and 9.

The winning areas will accumulate points for their areas, which will be carried forward to the Sussex School Games Festival in the summer.
